The project aims to reinvestigate the process of metabolism by integrating recycling center and landscape, emerging as a new public space that fully exposed to the neighborhood. The new center engages the residents extraordinarily through presenting the process of recycling, in which way educates the significance of sustainable urban development. Thus, the waste center will not only be another factory for collaboration and recycling, but also a public park and an educational gallery that people can actually stay and study. It also created a large common area with green space in this industrial-dominated district, and the extruded chimney becomes a new landmark for the city.
